Established in 1995 and set in an beautiful indigenous forest-valley between Ramsgate & Southbroom, on the KwaZulu-Natal South S’khumba Crafts, is renowned for a variety of hand-crafted, top-quality leather goods. In this tranquil space, enjoy the sounds of nature and the peace of the forest as you stroll down the path. After living overseas for 8 years, founders Brian and Karen returned to South Africa in 1993, and started out in Durban, trading at all the Durban Markets and most of the National Arts Festivals. They were consciously looking for a place to settle and in 1995 they found an idyllic property, set in a natural indigenous forest.

Slowly weaning themselves from the market scene, they set about building S’khumba Crafts, which has become one of the major tourism draw cards on the South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal. Producing leather-work of a sublime quality with a longevity that is rare in this day and age. Every product is designed and crafted exclusively by hand, stitching included. These unique and originally designed products will most definitely stand the test of time.
