The Doghouse Craft Café, situated in the exquisite indigenous forest of Yellowwood Nature Reserve, offers a wide selection of homemade meals from pot pies, wood-fired pizza, gourmet sandwiches and burgers. They are fully licensed and serve Basset Breweries craft beer on-tap and are dedicated to producing the best quality craft beers in KwaZulu Natal. Their tasting room has been recently revamped, and tours of the brewery are fascinating, as you learn about the process from raw malted barley to the ice-cold amber awaiting the first sip.

They produce four regular, easy drinking beers, which are available all year round and suitable for all aficionados of beer, namely their Umdoni Gold (ABV 3.5%), Befreckled Red (ABV 3.5%), Pennington Pride (ABV 4.5%) and Barking Blonde (ABV 5%). In addition to these, Basset Breweries also produces single batches of seasonal beers. Take part in some birdwatching, wander around the indigenous forest, order a take-away from the Café and picnic by their tranquil dam to truly enjoy this little piece of paradise.
