Tweni whale deck
The Umtentweni Whale Deck provides magnificent views over the Indian Ocean and the Umzimkulu River Mouth. Built as an initiative of the Umtentweni Conservancy, which was established in November 2007 and registered with the KwaZulu-Natal Conservancies Association, this stunning viewing deck provides a high vantage point. The aim of the conservancy is to protect and promote natural heritage, within the greater Umtentweni area. This stretches from the Umzimkulu River estuary to the Umtentweni River, and up to the toll road, at which point the Umtentweni Conservancy joins the Umzumbe conservancy.
